So this was the first full week of regular classes at school. Things seem a lot more laid back this year compared to last year, but DANG, the profs like you to read! I have 7.2 gazillion pages to read over the weekend, a few projects to work on, and this little thing called Hebrew. Hebrew is kinda cool, it's like solving one of those secret code thingys in Cracker Jacks (that dates me a bit as I think now they only give you stupid lick and stick tatoos of goofy cartoonish characters) and my friend Tim said,
"yeah, totally, sheesh!" That's a fun word, sheesh, that is. Anywho, so in Hebrew you read from right to left and they only used consanants back in the day. 500 years later some guy (or gal) said, "can a brother/sister get a vowel around here?" And someone else, actually three different groups of "scholars" came up with a way to add vowels without messin' with the text, cause they thought it was beautiful the way it was written. So now they have dots. Made me think about that commercial with the dots, you know the one, the guys says "what's with the dots?" and the guys say they let us track stuff and the first guy says, "can you talk to the dots?" and they talk to the dots.......................finally, "who's messin' with my dots?" The dots are fun, goofy, and yet, they speak to me as a Hebrew student. Yup, the first week is pretty much done now, but hey, Saturday night is a campfire on the ranch here, I hope my friend Shana will come!
p.s.
Yeah, I'm in a class on ethics in a lutheran perspective, shockingly ethics cross most religious boundaries.

The more things change....
So after a long summer of no posts, and a long summer of missing most of my friends (except my buddy Shana who was here to make me smile more than once) it's now time for a new school year to begin. No, I didn't do the independant study I planned to over the summer. No, I didn't memorize the Hebrew alphabet. In fact, I'm not sure what happened really. I went to Texas, I went to Florida, I worked in maintenance for a cool boss.
I'm happy my friends are coming back, and it's been interesting to hear their stories from CPE. I'm ready for classes to start, but not for the grind. Should be interesting though.
Okay, as this has not been funny to this point, I shall include a stupid joke, ready? Here it is............what's brown and sticky?
a stick, silly!
